From the sound of singing birds and splashing fountains, along with the occasional rich aroma of creosote, Chapel Bellavista rests at more than 1000 feet above the city. One can sense God's presence in the midst of this immaculate desert that is alive with His flora and fauna, and in the clear breezes that blow through the giant saguaros. His Spirit is everywhere! Chapel Bellavista is a peaceful and pleasant place to gather. This high desert retreat has become the perfect place for developing friendships that concentrate on a personal relationship with God. Wayfarer or weekly attendee, Jesus said, "For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them." (Matthew 18:20, N.I.V.).
We like to practice the presence of God. Our mission is found in Acts 2:42...to experience spiritual fellowship with God through our devotion: 1) to the apostles' teachings, 2) to each other, 3) to The Lord's Memorial Supper, and 4) in prayer. We do so with art, music, and the exchange of ideas. Even karaoke!
Chapel Bellavista, in north Scottsdale, is a quiet, simple, deliberately small and non-institutional place of worship and fellowship. We have nothing about which to vote, no collection baskets to pass and no process by which to become a member. We hope everyone feels welcome at Chapel Bellavista!
